Sarah Palin has arrived in Jerusalem today wearing a Star of David necklace as she expressed her solidarity with Israel.
Mrs Palin, who was John McCain's running mate in his failed 2008 campaign for President, rarely travels abroad and has been criticised for her weak foreign policy record.
She was ridiculed at the time after she said ‘you can actually see Russia from Alaska’ when she asked about her insights into Russian politics.
Although the trip is private, she is to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday. Mrs Palin's office said they would discuss the 'key issues' facing his country.
