PHOENIX (AP) - The Arizona Department of Gaming says tribal gaming contributions to the Arizona Benefits Fund are nearly $78 million for fiscal year 2010. This is a decrease of 9.9% in tribal contributions from state fiscal year 2009.
Arizona Department of Gaming Director Mark Brnovich says the tribal gaming money is a significant source of funding for valuable programs.
State education gets $382.2 million, trauma and emergency services, $19.3 million, the Arizona Department of Gaming $8 million, tourism, $5.4 million and problem gambling treatment and prevention $1.5 million.
